The University of Leeds was founded in 1831. It is one of the top ten universities in the UK, one of the six red brick universities in the UK, and one of the founding members of Russell university group in the UK. It also ranks among the top 100 universities in the world according to the QS ranking. So far, it has cultivated many famous alumni, including six Nobel Prize winners, three heads of state and KIR stammer, the leader of the labor party.
