Dear my parents and students,

         My humble apologies for not writing this sooner.

        我亲爱家长和同学们好，很抱歉我没能更早一些写信给你们。

       May I begin by first of all expressing my sincere gratitude and absolute appreciation for the way the Chinese people have collectively managed the Covid 19 and the endless sacrifices this has meant for all China and its wonderful people. We in the UK are now realising first hand for ourselves the true extent of those sacrifices, as we also prepare for nationwide lock down as the Covid 19 virus reaches our boarders and is gradually spreading throughout the UK.

        首先，请允许我对中国人民集体处理突发事件的方式，对中国及其优秀人民所作出的无尽牺牲，表示诚挚的感谢和衷心的敬佩。我现在在英国，英国现在也第一时间意识到这些付出和牺牲的真实程度和重要作用，我们也准备在全国范围内进行封锁，因为新冠病毒已经蔓延到我们的边境，并逐渐蔓延到整个英国。

Online learning is on~

        My amazing team of dedicated teachers and support staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that learning continued and the effects of the Covid 19 virus on the continued education of your children and our students was has minimum as possible.

        Has you all know we manged to move the learning platforms from the classroom to the distant learning IT platform very rapidly, then continued to deliver the full syllabus for each subject on line in a very organised and disciplined manner.

        我知道，即使在如此特殊的时期，我们中英班全体老师们仍然认真地工作，以确保同学们继续学习，尽可能的减小新冠病毒对学生继续教育的影响。

        正如大家看到的，我们迅速将学习平台由校园课堂转移至线上课堂。我们共同交流和探讨，不断调整和改进，然后继续以非常有组织和纪律的方式，在线提供剑桥国际考试局要求的每一学科的完整教学大纲。

        It must be said that this would have not been possible without the ongoing commitment of all our learners and the support for every single parent. I, on behalf of my team, would like to thank you all for your patience , understanding and ongoing support during this challenging time.

        我们必须指出的是，如果没有我们所有学生的投入和坚持，没有每一位家长的付出和跟进，这一切是不可能的。我谨代表中英班全体成员，感谢大家在这充满挑战的时刻所表现出的耐心、理解和不断的支持。

        On the 23rd March, after a great deal of ongoing correspondence with the awarding body ( Cambridge International) and the on going crisis. Cambridge International have made the unprecedented decision to cancel all international examination across the 160 counties world wide for the examination series 2020 . This decision was not taken likely, but in the interest of safety of all Cambridge students, teachers and staff across the world they felt this was the best option. This decision is also in line with all examinations at all levels within the UK for the coming examination series.  

        3月23日，在与英国剑桥国际考试局进行了大量的通信和世界性危机的持续加重之后，剑桥国际考试局做出了前所未有的重大决定，取消2020年五月考试季160多个国家的所有国际考试。一般来说，这个决定是不太可能做出的，但为了全世界所有剑桥学生、教师和工作人员的安全，他们认为这是最好的选择，这一决定也和英国即将举行的所有考试安排保持了同步。

Updates from Cambridge International Assessment Education

        What this mean for your children and our students?Will the assessment results be accepted by universities?Will the results be competitive?Do our students have to prepare for the Exams in October?All the questions are unknown yet.But we could do something that could be confirmed.

        那么，这个决定对您的孩子和我们的学生意味着什么呢?这次评估分数会被今后我们要申请的大学认可吗？这次的考试成绩在申请中具有竞争力吗？我们还需要准备参加十月份的全球统考吗？病毒突如其来，很多问题还是未知的。我们现在能做的就是踏踏实实地做我们可以确定的事情，为自己的将来做好充分的准备。

        The international English team will be continuing with all subjects as normal with no planned break in learning until May of this year. We will then set our own internal examination series for every subject, following the same examination criteria and the same standards that we are expected to adhere to whilst examinations are taking place that have been set by the awarding body. The teaching team will be writing the examination paper and then marking the papers once the examinations have been sat. We will strictly follow all the marking and grading criteria set out by the awarding body and follow their suggested grading format to grade the papers.

        These papers and the results of these papers along with all the work each student has completed throughout the year and all the test each student have completed throughout the year will then be amalgamated into a predicted grade for each

         我们将继续所有科目的正常学习，待学校正式开学之后，我们将为每个科目设置内部考试，并严格遵循全球统考的考试标准和要求。在考试结束后，我们将严格遵守剑桥国际考试局制定的评分标准，并按照考试局建议的评分格式，由我们的教师团队对试卷进行评分。这些试卷的结果，连同每个学生全年所有的课堂表现、课后作业和测试，将合并为每个学生的预测成绩。

         We will then present all this evidence to Cambridge International to help them validate a final grade for each student and award accordingly.

        I am in regular contact with Cambridge International and will keep the team updated on any issues immediately that may effect our students and your children.

       然后，我们将把所有的材料提交给剑桥国际考试局，以帮助他们验证每个学生的最终成绩，并相应地颁发证书。我们一直与剑桥国际考试局保持定期联系，并将及时向大家通报可能影响学生学习和考试的任何问题。

        If I may be bold enough to ask just one thing from all parents and all students please and it is this:

        Please carry on with your focused studies and strive to do the very best for the up and coming internal examination series. This result although now internal, will help us secure a grade from the awarding body for all your hard work and commitment throughout the year.

        请允许我直白地向所有家长和学生提出一个要求也是期待，那就是:

         请继续专心学习，全力以赴地为即将到来的内部考试和内部评估做最好的准备。这个结果虽然是内部的，但将帮助我们获得剑桥国际考试局颁发的等级证书，这也是对每一位同学在自己在过去一年里全部努力和热情的回报。

        Please dear all my students believe that we are not the most struggling one in this special situation.It’s a challenge for people all over the world.Warmly advised that,

         --Focus more on Exams,major selection, future plans,extra-curriculum activities,P.S. etc.

         --Prepare for the Exams with the help of the electronic devices and internet.

        --View the surroundings and consider your interests and future.

        --Record the Events with your eyes,pens,cell phones or cameras.

        --Support the people who are in need.

        All of these must be the essential materials for the application of universities,as well as your unforgettable memories in your life.

        Do keep learning calmly and firmly,so that you could meet all kinds of challenges any time and anywhere.

       请相信，面对突如其来的疫情，我们绝对不是最孤单最难过的那一个，每个人都在面临一些新的挑战。“居家报国”的我们，可以：

        --通过新闻，官网或者老师们发布的通知，关注标化考试、专业选择、未来考虑、课外活动、文书准备等；

        --专心准备考试，夯实基础、查漏补缺，充分利用网上资源做好准备，等到疫情过去后再参加考试；

       --关注周围大事与改变，充分探索自己的感兴趣的方向，思考自己的未来；

       --用眼睛、用笔，用手机，用相机，记录社会生活的重大事件及其中的人和事，力所能及为周围的人提供帮助；

        在这次疫情中关于专业的思考和课外活动的准备，将成为申请中最好的文书素材，也必将是你人生道路上一段特殊的记忆。

        请冷静而坚定的保持学习，相信这会让你在未来的任何时候任何地点都能够面对挑战，勇往直前。

        Once again, if I could close by thanking you all for being so considerate, supportive and committed.
