在石榴花盛开的五月，人们用五彩的丝线包扎成多角的粽子，把它盛放在金色的盘子里。在端午这一天，人们还会沐浴更衣，因为正逢夏季，各种蚊虫开始出没，大家在这一天给家里也来一个彻底的清扫，并且饮用雄黄酒来辟邪。

        窗外树丛中的黄鹂鸟，不时的鸣唱，打破了闺中的宁静。

        When the pomegranate flowers are blooming in May, people start to use strings in five colors to wrap zongzi and then put them in some golden plates. On Dragon Boat Festival, people will take showers and change into new clothes. Different kinds of mosquitos and insects appear with the coming of summer. So people will have a thorough house cleaning and drink realgar wine to keep the bad things away.

        The children in our school are busy preparing for the coming Dragon Boat Festival.

         艾与菖蒲

        Yiyi：这个草有点眼熟，好像在农场里见过~

       Eva：对呀，这就是艾草，我们的花园农场里就有，边上长条的叶子就是菖蒲。

       Yiyi：名字有点奇怪呢？

         Eva：但是它们有大本领哟~现在天气越来越热啦，在古代可是没有驱蚊水呢，古人就用艾草挂在门口驱逐蚊虫，因为它也是一味草药，就延伸出保佑家人身体健康的寓意啦，这个习俗就流传到了现在，它打磨成浆后还可以制作美味的青团哟~

         Poli：那，那个长长的叶子呢？

         Eva：那个就是菖蒲，因为形状就像宝剑，古人在门口挂着菖蒲，希望能够赶走灾厄，这样全家人都能平平安安啦~

        提到端午，小朋友们最心心念念的就是美味的粽子啦~

       先来看看小朋友们“做”的粽子吧~

       When it comes to Dragon Boat Festival, the children will think of the delicious zongzi. Let’s enjoy some beautiful zongzi drawings made the children first.

       粽子在孩子们的笔下变得神奇，充满了创意与想象，不想来一个吗~？

       When you see the amazing zongzi drew by the children, full of creative ideas and wonderful imagination, don’t you want to have one?

        接下来我们就要去包真的粽子啦~

        Now let’s go to wrap some real zongzi.

 包粽子

         但是包粽子一点都不简单哦。

        Wrapping zongzi is not an easy work.

        Step One：观察粽叶 Observe Bamboo Leaves

        Jim：又大又宽的粽叶，在农场里没见过呢~

        Eva：这是专门来包粽子的叶子哦~

        Step Two：了解食材 Food Ingredients

         Shark：原来包粽子要用到这么多食材？

        Eva：是的呀，我们要在粽子里放糯米，包上肉，香菇，鹌鹑蛋，干贝，这样包出来的粽子特别香~

        Shark：我好想吃呀！

        Step Three：包粽子啦~ Let’s wrap !

        来一块美味的红烧肉。

        First put in a piece of red-cooked pork

再来一块香菇吧。

Then a mushroom

鹌鹑蛋来一颗~

A quail egg

        干贝好大一颗呀~

        A big dried scallop

         放入香喷喷的糯米~

        Then cover them with some polished glutinous rice

        最后请老师帮忙扎好，就是一个漂亮的粽子啦~

        At last, a nice zongzi wrapped by the teachers comes out.

 终于可以吃上自己包的粽子啦~真美味~~

        感知端午，走进端午，品味端午。在“端午节”主题活动中，孩子们知道了端午的由来及节日习俗，从画粽子、包粽子、吃粽子的过程中感受到浓浓的节日氛围，加深对我国传统节日与文化的了解。

        In these activities, the children learn the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival and its customs. By experiencing drawing zongzi, wrapping zongzi and eating zongzi, the children understand the festival better.
