为了让家长们了解我校中美班课程，贴近孩子校园生活，国际部中美班于12月27日开放校园，邀请家长们进入课堂，与孩子们一同体验21世纪美式教学特色。

        In order to let parents know more about the international courses and the students’ campus life，on December 27th, VIA (Vermont International Academy) in the Affiliated School of Xiamen Institute of Technology has invited parents to come into the classes and experience the style of 21st  century American teaching .

        课堂中的孩子们看起来多了一丝紧张，因为后面坐了一群熟悉的身影，正是自己的爸爸妈妈。

        The students in the class looked a little nervous as a group of familiar figures were sitting  behind them-- their parents.

        在中美的课堂中，小组合作是重要的一部分，锻炼其团队协作精神。

        In the class in VIA, group cooperation is  the  important part to practice students’ teamwork spirit.

        双语教学，批判性思维，培养学生多重能力。

        Bilingual teaching, critical thinking.

        “绝无冷场”的课堂，学生们积极举手回答问题，为团队加分。

        In the interactive class, students raised their hands actively to answer the questions and score points for their team.

Parents sat behind the classroom and listened the class carefully.

        在观看完三个年级，四个课堂后，家长们在家长沙龙中分享所见所想。

        After observing the four classes of three grades, parents shared their opinions in the parent salon.
 

        家长A: 还是可以很清楚地看出高年级的同学能较好地与外教老师进行互动。

        Parent A：we can see that the senior students can interact with foreign teachers better comparing to our kids.

        家长B: 我家孩子还是过于内向了些，希望能与老师们多进行沟通。

        Parent B：My child is too introvert, I wish he could be more active and communicate with foreign teachers.

        家长C: 课堂氛围真好，现在的孩子真幸福。

        Parent C:  The classroom atmosphere is really good. How lucky our kids are!

        家长D: 全英课堂虽然我听不懂，但能看得到孩子的上课状况，一直能跟随外教的引导认真思考，回答问题。

        Parent D: Although I cannot understand English, I can tell that the students were able to follow the guidance of foreign teachers. They were thinking and answering the teachers all the time.
