        原来，这是中英班的环境管理课(Environmental management)正在进行时。同学们正在和Amy老师学习和探讨一个拷问灵魂的问题：你是什么垃圾！

        It turns out that it is the time for the environmental management course for A-level program students . They are learning and discussing a question with teacher Amy: what kind of rubbish you are?

    “垃圾分类”曾作为一个热搜榜首话题，同时搭配着各种分类垃圾桶和垃圾分类指南迅速地出现在我们的周围。但对于垃圾分类的理解以及是否真的能够发自内心的热爱和保护我们的环境，可能会是一个慢热的过程。本学期，中英班就在课程设置上给同学们加料，增设了这样一门融合了学科知识和环保理念的环境管理活动课。

        "Garbage classification" has been a hot topic at the top of the search list. At the same time, it appears around us quickly with various garbage bins and garbage classification guidelines. But the understanding of garbage classification and whether it could really love and protect our environment from the heart may be a gradual process.From this semester,  A-level class has an environmental management activity curriculum, which integrates the subject of knowledge and the concept of environmental protection.

        -环境管理课堂是为了蹭热度而存在吗？

        蹭热度？不需要的！我们可是自带环保发热体哦，这要从Amy老师说起~

        -Does environmental management class exist for the purpose of warming up?

        Rubbing heat? Needless! We bring our own environmental friendly heating body. Let's start with teacher Amy~

        Amy老师是我们中英班的化学老师，同时也是本学期环境管理课老师。曾留学日本和德国、并在德国做过污水处理工程师的她，骨子里就是一位环保达人。无论生活或者工作中，她自己都会节水节电，少用塑料袋，纸张双面使用等。她说，在德国，所有人都用布袋子去超市购物，每个人从小朋友到老爷爷都自觉地做垃圾分类，大家共同爱护自己生活的环境。因此有教育情怀的她，在回国之后就一直做一名教师，并且一直把这种环保概念分享和传达给自己的学生们。

        Amy is the chemistry teacher of A-level course, and also the environmental management teacher in this semester. She has studied in Japan and Germany and worked as a sewage treatment engineer in Germany. She is an absolute environmental protection fan from her heart. No matter in life or work, she will save water and electricity, use less plastic bags, use both sides of paper, etc. She said that in Germany,  people who go shopping in the supermarket all use cloth bags , and everyone from childhood friends to Grandpa consciously do garbage sorting, and everyone protect their living environment . Therefore, with the educational emotion,she has been a teacher since she back to the motherland, and has always shared and conveyed this concept of environmental protection to her students.

        应该说，我们的环境管理课，是一节脚踏实地的课外活动课，一个让同学们了解更多关于我们自己与环境以及人类与地球关系的课堂。我们很期待，从点滴做起，从自己做起，从这一课开始，同学们不仅仅只关注自己关注成绩，我们也要开始关注环境关注环保。

        It should be said that our environmental management class is a down-to-earth extracurricular activity class, a class for students to learn more about our own relationship with the environment and the relationship between human beings and the earth. We are looking forward to starting from a little bit, starting from ourselves, starting from this lesson, students are not only concerned about their achievements, but also about the environment.

        70亿的人类，却制造了三十万亿吨的垃圾，生活垃圾“产量”的不断攀升，与垃圾处理能力之间的矛盾日益凸显，对人类赖以生存的环境造成了不小的污染，垃圾分类刻不容缓。

        7 billion human beings have produced 300 billion tons of garbage. With the continuous increase of the "output" of domestic garbage, the contradiction between the garbage disposal ability and the "output" of domestic garbage has become increasingly prominent, which has caused a lot of pollution to the environment on which human beings depend for survival. Garbage classification is urgent.

        现在每个人都知道垃圾要分类了，那么垃圾怎么分类呢？垃圾是怎么被处理的呢？塑料是怎么来的又怎么分类和使用呢？为什么环境保护如此重要呢？我们可以做点什么？

        只要是跟环保相关的，各种知识各种形式各种方式我们的课堂上统统都有~

Vincent同学：

之前在家时候也会做垃圾分类，但没有想过太多。但现在我也开始意识到地球只有一个，很多的不可再生资源会被用尽的，需要我们每一个人节约和保护。我发现个别小区会出现垃圾分类放、最后一桶收的现象，希望我们的垃圾分类做得更有意义而不是形式化。

Vincent：

I used to do garbage sorting at home, but didn't think about it too much. But now I start to realize that a lot of non renewable resources will be exhausted since we have only one earth, which needs each of us to save and protect.I also found that some communities will have the phenomenon of putting the sorting garbage together when collecting in the end. I hope our garbage sorting is more meaningful and practical.

Dina同学：

我很希望自己也能多了解一些关于环境的知识，我希望从我们每个人做起，通过我们的实际行动去改善我们的环境，特别是空气质量。另外，我觉得我们需要多一些志愿者，去提醒那些还没有环保意识和习惯的人们，大家共同努力，爱护我们的环境。

Dina:

        I would like to know more about our environment. I hope to start from each of us and improve our environment, especially air quality, through our practical actions.In addition, I think we need more volunteers to remind the people those who have no awareness and habits of environmental protection.Let’s we work together and protect our environment.

Amy老师：

        希望传达的是一种习惯，希望同学们能形成一种意识——环保的意识。一个人做，也许改变不了什么，但是如果能影响身边的人，一个一个传递下去，意义就不一样了。

Teacher Amy:

        What I hope to convey is a habit. I hope that students can form a sense of environmental protection. One person may not change anything, but if you can influence the people around you, one by one, the meaning will be different.

        我们欣喜地看到，目前全国46个垃圾分类重点城市居民小区垃圾分类覆盖率已达到53.9%，其中上海、厦门等14个城市生活垃圾分类覆盖率超过70%，237个地级及以上城市已启动垃圾分类。

        We are glad to see that at present, the coverage rate of garbage classification in residential quarters of 46 key cities for garbage classification has reached 53.9%, among which, the coverage rate of domestic garbage classification in 14 cities such as Shanghai and Xiamen has exceeded 70%, and 237 cities at prefecture level and above have started garbage classification.

        2019年11月15日，中国住房和城乡建设部召开《生活垃圾分类标志》标准发布新闻通气会，并同时宣布最新标准和更新后的“全国垃圾分类”小程序将于今年12月1日正式开始使用。目前垃圾分类和环境保护已经由各地区政府制定法规落实执行，并向全国铺开。虽然我们能做的还只有一点点，也才刚刚开始，但我们坚信，如果每个人都能够贡献自己的力量，坚持并且传递下去，我们的天空一定更蓝，我们的环境一定更净，我们的地球一定更美。

        On November 15, 2019, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development of China held a press conference on the standard release of the classification mark of domestic waste, and announced that the latest standard and the updated "national waste classification" small program will be officially put into use on December 1 this year. At present, the garbage classification and environmental protection have been implemented by the local governments and spread to the whole country. Although what we can do is only a little bit,but we firmly believe that if everyone can contribute our own strength, insist and pass on, our sky must be bluer, our environment must be cleaner, our earth must be more beautiful.
